A new reality television singing competition is about to launch this coming September 21, 2011. It has been titled X Factor and it is believed to throw out those existing shows alike such as the most-watched show American Idol as it offers $5 million worth of cash prizes plus a recording contract with SyCo – Cowell’s Sony Music-owned record label.
It is said to be open for 13 year-old and above contestants and will also welcome those singing groups aspiring to win the above mentioned prizes.Simon Cowell will act as the executive producer as well as the judge of the said show. Paula Abdul (Simon’s partner at AI) will also make her come back at X Factor as one of the judges. According to Cowell, it’s more like the Exorcist 2.
